This is how the process can look like

1. uncovering needs and
requirement specifications

We start by identifying your needs and requirements: What does the packaging need to protect - and what does your packaging process look like? Where will it be transported to? What stresses can it be exposed to along the way? Are there requirements for documentation, branding or carbon footprint? Together, we assess what's most important and where we can optimise.

2. Packaging design based on
application and supply chain

We design and develop solutions that can fit your setup. Does the product need to be stacked or reloaded along the way? From internal logistics to end-user experience, we take everything into account and consider both function and finish from the start.

3. Choosing materials with
Focus on function and accountability

We find the right mix of materials. From FSC-certified wood and cardboard to customised foam.
All with a focus on function, responsibility and your supply chain.

4. Testing and documentation in
Granby Lab

Before we go into production, we test the solution in our own test centre, Granby Lab (link to Granby Lab subpage), which is ISTA certified (DANAK accredited). Here we document that your packaging can last the whole way.

We produce in our own facilities, where automated robotic processes are combined with manual labour. This provides flexible and efficient production that can be easily customised - whether you need 10 or 10,000 boxes of foam inserts.

Granby Academy: We develop the packaging solutions of the future

Granby Academy is our platform for knowledge, testing and development. In collaboration with our customers and industry professionals, we explore new, innovative solutions in transport and industrial packaging. We continuously push the boundaries of what is possible.

We organise events such as:

Inspiration days with real-life cases and tests
Simulations and analyses of specific transport challenges such as climate and shocks
Workshops focusing on e.g. cost-down, outer and inner packaging, optimised carbon footprint

Granby Academy is run by our development department, which also contributes actively in international professional environments - through collaboration with Michigan University and membership of standardisation bodies such as ISTA and ASTM.

Certified and responsible materials

We use FSC-certified materials, ISPM15 labelling and documented carbon footprint.
